HS Ride Reviews

Muppet Vision 3D

Griffin Guide Rating: 4/5

Scary Scale: 1/5

Fast Pass: Not needed. The ride is highly underrated so it doesn’t typically have a lot of people in it. The longest wait we anticipate is 10-15 minutes at the most (while you wait for the next show to start)

Background: Muppet Vision 3D takes you to the Muppet Theater from the classic, “The Muppet Show.” The ride was a collaboration between Jim Henson Productions and Walt Disney Imagineering including the final released film directed by Jim Henson (he also voiced Kermit the Frog.)

Ride Description: As you walk into the ride building you enter a hallway. The hallway has fun doors and quirky muppet decorations. You then enter a large room for the “pre-show”. During the pre-show some of the muppets come up on screen and tell some jokes! They also give you instructions on what to do when you get into the theater and then the doors open. Once you are in the theater, you sit down and watch the movie. In the movie you are taking a tour of the Muppet lab while the Muppets are showing off their brand new movie-making technology, Muppet*Vision 3D. Then Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker accidentally set off a disaster that starts a hilarious chain of events. A few characters even make real life appearances in the theater! After exiting the ride you end up in a Muppet themed gift shop.

Griffin Guide Tips:

  • Be prepared to be standing and sitting for a while waiting for the next show to start (10-15 minutes max)
  • The ride is semi-underrated so the wait will never be to long, Griffin Guide recommends going when it is very hot out go here for some AC and a fun ride!
  • The ride is very quick and can easily be done between fast passes.
  • The ride is pretty loud at times so your very young children might get a little scared.
